  1. Brill fruit cage John is hopefully doing mine this weekend so I can get my bushes moved in ❤
Can’t wait for the shed content 😊

  2. Hard work, but you and your brother-in-law did a good job and the weather looked good. One of the ✅ on to do list. Just the bush planting left 😉😉😅and new shed, ….. 📝 🤔✍📝. Thank you for sharing🙏👍🍀🍁🍃
Are you still a little stiff in the knee, after your misstep?
Me, in week 12 with leg-knee orthosis and crutches or wheelchair for longer walks (groceries shopping), but it's getting better.

  3. That cage looks good buddy!
Not that I have a council plot any longer, but there was talk at a recent council meeting about banning netting! WTF?
Surely that would be forcing plot-holders towards a chemical deterrent way of gardening – you could not make this up!

  4. Can’t wait for this election 🤬 to be OVER!! Trying to enjoy the vid and I’m slammed with ads. You can’t escape it. Everyone has PTSD or close to it. It’s the worst time I’ve ever witnessed—the worst.

Anyhow, you really are moving along! I managed to get trays and pots cleaned finally before the snow. It’s unusual to have 80F this late as we should be 40-50. Just a few more things to do and maybe can refurbished the greenhouse. Ugh, and leaves to do yet.

I’m not sure what the staging stuff is, but maybe you could add a lean-to roof off the shed. That’s what we have done as I have a lot of pots, ect that I want out of the sun and there’s no room in the shed. Another reason was to keep them from holding water and places for mosquitoes to breed.

Enjoyed the vid despite the ads and pray things go well over here next Tuesday and beyond. Been too much dictator talk.

Oh, and we are getting RAIN🎉🎉. Least I can quit worrying about fire.😊

  5. Nice fruit cage Danny. Very big. You could get Charlie in there to scary the moles off. Be a little play pen until you get the fruit in. :o)

You need like one of those wall racks that you get for ladders and put it on the back of the shed to keep them off the ground. Or get folding tables like Eli and Kate have that you can use for potting outdoors in the summer? Either that or make bespoke tables that you can stack on a frame for shelving.

Was looking at the skill share website and i couldn't find how much the membership is after the trial?

Are you doing anything for Halloween? We just carved a pumpkin and just finishing off making a ghost costume. Door is decorated and sweets and chocolates are ready. Have a lovely rest of the week.

  6. The fruit cage looks amazing! I’ve never heard of skill share I’m going to head over and check it out now. Thank you for sharing 🙃

  7. You’ll soon fill that lovely new fruit cage. Maybe have raised beds for raspberries to reduce the risk of them spreading. You have some great idea going forward for the plot /channel and cant wait to see the shed build will be lovely.

  8. A great fruit cage and well def help protect that fruit. Look how easy it went up after all the practise you had helping me with mine lol. It might look dominant now on the fig and olive, but remember once it has plants you wont even notice it.

  9. Hi Danny glad to see your so happy and yes I can see it on your face and it’s so nice to see how you put so much into your garden, I wish I could do all that and then the things you all get to work with is so amazing like the guttering cover the little ball to stop the leaves, Danny you think of everything that’s great can’t remember seeing the stove and kettle on the plot 👍❤❤

  10. Fruitcage is a brilliant addition to the Fig & Olive Plot. You’ll soon things it’s not huge, as I know I went from thinking mine was massive to now wanting to double up on it! 😂

Great work and I’m with you on the gate catch being a bit disappointing.

I think having the staging on the crop bars when not in use isn’t a big deal. The area is full of wood now anyway, and still looks like enough in there. Fixing in to outdoor shelves is not a bad idea, but will you really need that shelving over summer anyway?

Decisions.. I know you’ll make the right one for you and your growing space.

    Podcast sounds interesting

  11. Hi Danny, great to see your fruit cage in all it's glory. It will be a great place to grow and protect your fruit.
The polytunnel is coming on lovely and gives you somewhere to sit and listen to the rain (ooops I mean birdsong 😂)
I wonder if you could make your staging from the polytunnel removable to use as hardening off tables outside as the plants reach that stage. Then maybe use as a potting on table later. Then they would return to the polytunnel again when it is time for seed sowing. Or use them as shelving for empty pots as you sow the plants outside. These shelves could be used in the shed or an area undercover but outside somewhere. Maybe that's helpful, or maybe that idea is as welcome as that bl**dy mole! 🤔
As always, thanks for all the work behind the scenes to bring us along to your allotment with you.
Take care, have a great week ahead xx

  12. Fruit cage looks fantastic 👏 you know the tables that have smaller tables or chairs that slide I underneath what about something similar on the side or back of the shed. Where they can slide in n out when needed or not.

  13. Wow it’s like Kew Gardens ❤, you’ll never be able to use the word posh with anyone else 😂😂. Great update, sorry just got back from roofing the other half of Gerald’s tractor 🚜 shed, Jackie 🥶🇨🇦

  14. Another fab video update Danny ❤
So many big things happening on your plots. The fruit bushes are going to look amazing all planted up in that fruit cage.
A coffee live would be fun, another excuse to have coffee without doing any work 😂
Exciting times with all the developments, can't wait to see how it all progresses. See you tomorrow for yet another coffee ☕☕😂
