Is turnips radishes?
before watching your videos ive never been able to grow anything. I always killed them. Since you have been my "tutor" lol.. I have grown 13 bell pepper plants from saving the seeds from a supermaket pepper. I am so proud of my self because this year with your help ive grown lettuce (not too well because the leaves always end up floppy), beetroot, radish, peppers and ive got cabbages, kale, broccolli and cauli in pots outside now. I grow all this food because ive got lots of rabbits and guinea pigs and you have saved me so much money. I use 1 and a half peppers everyday for The guinea pigs. I cannot tell you enough, how much you have helped me so thankyou.
Thank you for sharing 😊. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos 💚👨🏿🌾
Great video, Jeff. Potatoes are pretty easy, too, even though they don't meet your parameters for this video. Peas always give me trouble with germination.
I battle lots of slugs and snails. Ugh!
my peas are not growing consistently. some are 2' others 4' and not all are flowering.
👍Thanks, Jeff! Will try these…the spring & summer crops didn't do so well. Looking forward to your class also! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! It's very much appreciated! 🙂
excellent video!
Are those grow bags 8 gal or 5?
I’ve been growing food for a couple of years now but tbh I don’t think I do very good with much of it. Just small harvests in my opinion. I think I would do better to learn how to do a few crops like you suggest here and do them well. Then add to that once I’m doing them well.
This year everything’s been rubbish here in the uk due to the weather but I know that’s not due to me. Last year I had lettuce too a t not this year. So trying again. Got some growing inside and some outside in my covered shelving unit- I’ve also brought a 2nd covered unit with fleece that you can change the covered on fleece or like pollytunnel covering. So need to get that set up. Then gonna move my troughs of raddish in there and see if I get a harvest. Along with some other bits and bobs I have in pots that I hope will give me an earlier harvest next year.
I have cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, kale all growing in the garden bed
Great video! Thanks!
What kind of material are the bags that you use.
Hi, I planted lots of garlic cloves at the beginning of October but with in two weeks they all sprouted and now they are more than 6 inches tall. Can you tell me what is happening with them please? I'm from Scotland. 🏴Bindu
👍great video
If you can't grow green pole beans, gardening isn't for you. LOL.
I recommend growing some cannabis. One of the most versatile blessings given to us by God.
do not grow anything that can bolt.
Running out tomorrow and planting more seeds! Such great info
Give peas a chance!
In deep pots/bags especially for leafy greens, I fill the bottom half with a mix of garden soil and compost.
The rest with my own potting mix (50/50 compost and coco coir with a little perlite and worm castings).
Nice top 5 but I'd go for Chard rather than Spinach as in many areas Chard can be grown year-round where Spinach needs cool weather.
Excellent video. 👍
Just sow lettuce seeds like carrot seeds and thin out as they grow. Or don't thin out and you have lots baby lettuce.
You need to do a special set of episodesgrowing cannabis. You are in Canada it's legal and many would watch. Just treat it like a very heavy feeding tomatoe.
i just can't figure out why I'm struggling to get lettuce starts actually going. They are just sort of stunted at a very small size and not really doing anything.
Gardening work is not easy not everyone can do it but you are best, your red radish is nice round like ball 🏀 but my red radish is longer than yours.
The tips at 4:50 are so helpful – I’m definitely trying them out. Thanks a lot! My channel is also about farm life – hope we can grow together!
