  1. Have you ever tried the Chelsea chop on your sedum. Once I started doing that I never had any more splaying open.

  2. Have you considered adding sun king aralia? This perennial is one of my favorites! Also, Celone (turtle head) is so great in wet, shady areas and great for fall flowering! 🙂
