I’m canning, I’m freezing, I’m baking and all around taking in the harvest. In this video I share some of the things I preserve every year like corn, carrots, and tomatoes. And this year we even tried some new pickling recipes – ever had pickled zucchini?

Even though we live in the city I really believe in doing what you can with the space you have and working towards growing more of our own food. SIMPLE URBAN HOMESTEADING FOR BEGINNERS just starts with a little bit of effort. We started with raised garden beds and container gardening. And have since expanded to include BACKYARD CHICKENS and made room for a homestead garden in the city. I’m just working with what I have, in the space that I have, to grow what I can.
