  1. A single glass house DOES NOT make a botanical gardens. As a horticulturalist I’m irritated by the deliberate misuse of terms.
Aside from that, it’s outrageously expensive for what you get. As has been the case with most LEGO sets for a few years now which is why I’ve stopped buying LEGO sets.

  2. 7:33: to be fair, old European train stations and old greenhouses generally tend to have quite a lot in common. But I get what you mean, I have that same feeling too.

  3. A really beautiful set and definitely better than the original submission imho. BUT – this is more expensive than 4 Friends Botanical Garden sets put together…and less pieces. I do not like the price. It feels way overpriced.

  4. Have to agree with people, we never see lines of buildings stuck together. Buildings should have spaces, sometimes large, between them so no problem with non modular.

The inside is super beautiful and the stairs is so clever

  5. To be honest, anybody who is not new to the LEGO game, would be able to look at those ideas' renderings and build something similar. It might be fun to challenge ourselves from time to time.

  6. Don't like it at all. The original takes up less space horizontally and has nicer large windows to see the interior. Space is premium already for LEGO city.

  7. 🤬 lego keeps making stuff i want. I was tempted to buy a couple of those friends butterfly sanctuary sets to build this sort of thing. Also the x manssion is coming out too

  8. I totally agree with your opinion concerning these prob lens shots. They give a complete irregular view that you will never be able to experience for yourself. I agree that they should stop this. Concerning the set itself: It´s to much building to me and less botanical things. I like the Friends set more and also there are some great moc´s at rebrickable using two of the Friends sets that suits me better. So I won´t buy it. Thanks for this great video – as always. Best regards from Munich, Europe

  9. This is the first $300 set. I have ever wanted to buy from Lego. I was watching store employees assemble one yesterday at the Lego store in Boca Raton Florida. It is even more beautiful in person. And I absolutely will be purchasing it.

  10. Not a set to buy on release day, but gift with purchase is a nice touch. They could give it for everyone that buys it directly from Lego, because let's be fair, retailers are going to sell it for at least 50 less…

  11. 2:34 The fan's submission probably wasn't based on the Friends set. It and the Friends set – and the final 21353 for that matter – clearly draw inspiration from Georgian and Victorian glasshouses. You can see plenty of greenhouses like those at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew, southwest London, at various stately homes and at other historic sites across the UK.

  12. Wild that “inclusion is good” is such a simple statement yet somehow sets Jang so far apart from many other reviewers and “fans”

  13. imagine this set with the same built in lighting system that funwhole medieval set had. It might actually be worth the price at that point 😅

  14. I really wish you could see more plants through the glass top, right now it looks so empty from the outside

  15. Love that your video just looking at the website pics and sharing your thoughts is still longer than some peoples whole reviews of this set.

  16. I built a 64×32 botanical garden out of multiple Friends Botanical Garden sets. It's built to fit my town, but I think it looks more like a botanical garden than this does

  17. I think I'll make this the city center. This + a park in front of it with roads and modulars around it seems to make a nice central view of a city. It not being as tall as the Ideas contribution also makes sure it doesn't overshadow any modulars behind it.

  18. I bought the Friends version when it came out, and that looks great. While I understand this is much bigger and has more pieces, idk if this'll be like 4x as good a display piece.

I really like this, but there is no way I'm paying that much for it.

  19. Unsponsored fans are generally very positive about the products anyway (otherwise they wouldn't be fans in the first place).
I'll patiently wait for unsponsored review videos.
LEGO needs to make sure they have plenty of supplies on hand for longer windows of sales
Selling out quickly makes people lose interest. We're not interested in jumping through hoops just to pay money to a company.
