I wondered how long it would take you to figure out that all of the levers had to go up but you made it seem like you found the answer by accident…

Slight bug in the game – after you died and rebattled the first demons, it showed the quest had been advanced twice when it hadn't. And then it didn't show the quest advancing again… I'm not sure how you were supposed to complete it, or whether you could have just battled the demon straight away.
Ooh, your first chance of an all-out, nice!
Also, if you want to make the most of combos you probably want your status inflicting demon on Emily, since if you use Hugo to set status then there isn't anyone left in the party to make use of the combo.
