I did some last-minute garden prep and tree trimming this afternoon ahead of Hurricane Milton!

I secured all the tree material on the side of my house to prevent them from becoming flying projectiles during the storm. Hope everyone had time to prepare their homes… thinking of everyone in the path of this Hurricane!

  1. Saw your other comments in here, I'm SO glad you and your family are okay. Please don't drop these guards as of yet, professionals announced earlier there's two more hurricanes coming Florida's way: Nadine and Oscar. Stay safe, stay warm, and stay dry ❤❤❤

  2. Hurricane preparedness in Jamaica is widely promoted by government and people. All drains are cleaned and trees near buildings are trimmed. I learned more about roof belting, decking and storm shutters than I ever expected to. As a whole, we learned our lesson the hard way due to Hurricane Gilbert.

  3. I trim my trees and clean my gutters at the beginning of hurricane season, but when they make weather warfare in OCTOBER, it is rinse and repeat. Things grow in Florida with the summer rains and 🥵 scorching sun 🌞☀️

  4. Porquê os americanos plantam árvores tão grandes próximo das casas? Sendo que a região é propensa a furacões, vira uma arma contra as próprias casas.

  5. WOW!! I didn’t know the giant bird of Paradise got that big like a full-grown tree that is incredible. You were right probably wouldn’t be appropriate to put in a big pot lol
