Janey – great garden – love seeing the progress. I live in an area in which crape myrtles are ubiquitous (and given your aphid-honey dew challenge in other areas of your garden), but wanted to offer something for you to consider. Crepe Myrtles get a lot of aphids – that come with their honey dew (which is sticky and collects dust – that we call "sooty mildew") which is a mess. Do you want that sprinkling down on your greenhouse? also, crepe myrtle scale is an increasing problem in the SE. Is it a challenge there? These two problems have lead me to make other choices in my own garden. I know you will do wants best for your garden as you always do. nicely done!
Thanks Janey, the garden always look amazing
Janey, I love thst maple tree y'all planted in the back yard and that dahlia is so very beautiful. You
Maybe you and Jason need a little break with no new projects for a while but a little more maintenance?
Your progress is amazing in your beautiful gardenπ So much to look forward toπHave been battling the Bud Worms tooπI use Lantana a lot for fall color. π
I am so jealous of your flowering maple. I live in upstate NY and found one a few years ago and loved it so much, they donβt survive our winters so I brought it inside and babyβd it. It was white and stunning. Well it didnβt survive, so I ordered one just like yours that from a nursery in California and decided to just enjoy it like an annual. I just love them.
Could the rainbow be from irrigation mist from the farms around you?
Good morning Janey,
Ohh your gardens are beautiful, cant wait to see what you and Jason are up to with the new project. have a wonderful rest of the day. πποΈπΉπ

When I put an area for bird feeders they left my seeds alone . Iβm sure you know you could tent them until they have some good growth. Your doing a great job love watching your videos
I agree a little maintenance is needed. I know life happens and things get away from us.
Dahlia s are beautiful flowers. What do you think about putting chicken wire over your planters til your flowers take hold next year
Yes, you certainly are making good progress. Bravo!
Your property has come a long way in the past yearβ¦ all the work has paid off. Just wonderingβ¦ whatβs the thought with leaving the drip lines exposed? Iβm not sure if itβs for easy access, or something else.
I personally am obsessed with having scissors when I am in my garden because for every dead head cut means 2 more blooms but hey that's my idea of a good time π roses are more particular with leaf sets and im sure everyone has over pruned a plant its a learning experience π
Hi Janey thanks for tour. Hugs!π
Where are the bunnies? I thought they were going to have a new home with the π. Do you ever eat dinner in the green house?
I had heliotrope growing around the bottom of an evergreen in a pot this summer and when I took the heliotrope out, the base of my Evergreen was mostly dead. Iβm a little worried about your spiral.
I live in northern Kentucky and have a mature October Glory maple. It usually looks pretty green through October so we have nicknamed it November Splendor
I love the colors & vigor of petunias but, the budworms, heavy feeders and pruning is too much. I prefer vincas.
Looks like maintenance is happening to me. Not sure of your maintenance goals and new project expectations but I see lots of progress this season. β€
I have a love-hate relationship with my strawberry treeβ¦ it is beautiful, but SUCH A MESS ALWAYSβ¦.
Are your plans for backyard to have as is ? No lawn or turf ? Just curious π
Looking good sweetie
Hi Janey πΊ. Wonderful tour at your garden . You and Jason did a lot of work in the garden and it look stunning . Have a great day .πΊπ»πΊ
Thank you so much for your beautiful smile & for sharing your knowledge! iβm also in 9b. Plants should have info on minimum cold tolerance AND maximum heat! this would have saved me SO much money this summer π©
Question, what arborvitae variety do you have in your planters in front of your office? I havenβt found any that can survive our heat in full sun? (both my brush cherry topiaries died due to one of many heatwaves this summer.)
thank you! πΈπΊ
Hi Janey well done to you and Jason you have worked so hard and made massive progress in the short time you have been in the property. Please donβt burn out trying to do loads of new projects every week gardening is a labour of love and we will enjoy seeing you both doing all the maintenance jobs. Please donβt rush everything or you will run out of content for the future. Please relax and we will all love watching you both enjoy the garden β€οΈ
Great progress. Trees make all the difference! I garden in So. Cal, Zone 10a, and love that Abutilon! Where did you purchase it? π
Amazing progress! Can't wait to see your crepe myrtles in bloom.
Hey, I just want to say that your channel has inspired me and many others! I just started my own garden journey and it isnβt easy π ! Thank you for your time and all your knowledge! I love how genuine and real you are! I LOVE your videos ! I am your number #1 fan!!
Keep going and donβt take to heart all the negativity in your comments. You are amazing, your garden is incredible and know that you have lots of followers who support you 100%!
So hard to plant under established maples because of shallow roots. You might want to get any underplanting done soon. Lovely garden
Regarding the iceberg rose standards: In Jasonβs defense, he was left unsupervised. π Great decision keeping the tubers belonging to that gorgeous Floret dahlia. Sheβs a real beauty with those unique petals. You could name her βSwirly Girlβ!
Having never done it, I would imagine sharing videos of oneβs garden would be quite a vulnerable experience so I want to give my heartfelt thanks for inviting us to take a relaxing stroll on your incredible property. ππ¨π¦
Enjoyed your October Front and Back Garden Tour!! You have come along way in One Year!!
Hi I'm a new subscriber from Melbourne, Australia. I have a lot of your videos to catch up with! Just want to say how much I love what you are doing. You have such a cheerful personality and brighten up the day. I love seeing the plants that you use and watching the changes to your new property. Love the new trees you have planted can't wait to see how they grow. Thanks for your inspiration. π
I love your garden πͺ΄. It is beautiful. I live in Arkansas and Iβm always looking for plants that can take the heat and drought.
I have one question for you. Why is it that you have no weeds? All that open ground and absolutely no weeds taking it over. I have weeds constantly.
I love how the flowers/plants are maturing around your office, how pretty would it be to grow some kind of thick year round blooming bush on the sides of your office.
Whatβs happening with the βroadside gardenβ where Jason planted all those daffodils? Did they make it through the heat? Will they bloom next year? Is it too early to tell? Inquiring minds want to know π
I wish proven winners was available in my area. I have to drive at least an hour to find a nursery that carries PW. And then itβs only a couple of plants.
Yes try to keep that one dahlia and hopefully divide it to make more. And maybe name it too.
Hi Janey, looking at your back space. Iβm wondering about where the sun rise is I relation to the new tree and your garden beds. For someone who has a Big leaf maple in my back yard. I canβt really grow a garden period in my space. I have small pockets I can grow in. I have tomatoes in grow bags. Zucchini at the end of a flowerbed. ECT.
You could get a small bird net for that bed. Cover it until you have growth.
Omg I didnβt know it came in pink. Mine is orange red. I must get a pink one.
Are you going to be doing your pool someday that Michael Glassman suggested, or keeping the greenhouse and crape myrtles? Isn't the new maple and the myrtles going to block your view of the neighbor's barn that you love? Love all you are doing!
Janey…did strawberry tree bear an edible fruit??
