In this week’s episode, we visit a beautifully designed four-room resale HDB unit in Bedok Reservoir. The homeowners, Tayllen, an interior designer, and Kai, who works in seafood sales, have crafted a zen-inspired sanctuary perfect for winding down after their busy days. Their home, which spans roughly 110 square metres, boasts stunning views of the reservoir, providing a tranquil backdrop to daily life.

  1. Although most parts of the apartment are nothing "new", the storage bench along the corridor leading to the two bedrooms is a good idea. Not only does it keep the clutter (toys, that is) away from the living room where the owner does hosting, it is a cosy nook for the child to read. The curved concrete "shelf" (or whatever you call it) under the showerhead in the master bedroom shower is a good idea. too.

  2. Warm and tastefully done. Display shelf items are a bit cramped and does not add merits. The paintings/caligraphy are subjective but can definitely do without. The fully unfolded window panels are definitely a bold and surprise act, though seems dangerous. 听雨轩refers to lady restroom, so听雨caligraphy may be placed in a more appropriate place.

  3. I like it a lot and love details such as those kitchen doors and the guests room, thank you for showing us your house

  4. Wifey Home Decor or professionally trained interior designer ? Everything like seen before. Mediocre IMO

  5. This home embodies balance, offering just the right amount of functionality, aesthetic appeal, playfulness, and minimalism.

  6. Juliana you're back! Miss having you present the houses~ you give a different flavour to the space and design 😊

  7. Really like what they did with the service yard and corridor! I intentionally choose a flat without the long corridor because it always felt like wasted space, our HDBs are already uncomfortably small.

But today I learn that widening the corridor can be a good idea lol. I'm childfree so maybe use it as a mini art/display gallery or as a cozy reading area 😌

  8. i really like their approach to the home!!! you can tell they did everything with purpose. they appreciate both modernity and nature and manage to create an elegant space that isn’t boring. i love the yellow bathroom and the gentle love shown in the way they decorated their sons room …
