I’ve had this haworthia (his name is Walter ☺️) since 2016. He kept having lower leaves die off and I thought I saw a few bugs (same with the plant in the yellow pot in the last slides) so I repotted both.

Now, even after repotting with totally fresh new bags of soil for both, I still see bugs.

What is the best way to rid these plants of these white mites? Can I un-pot the plants and spray the plants for a few days with isopropyl alcohol, clean the pots, and then repot them with fresh soil?

Would SO appreciate advice, I want these guys healthy again and want to eradicate these pests before it spreads further to my other plants. TYSM 🪴

If those are mites, they look predatory based on the size. Too low quality to really see much shape, tho.

Spider mites you would be seeing web material on the newest leaves of your scheffelera or on the undersides of old leaves.

On the haworthia spider mites could be harder to see because they’d have more nooks and cranny’s to hide in the tight areas of the leaves. But spider mites are a lot smaller than what you pictured. ‘Aloe mites’ are invisible to our eyes and definitely not a related issue, either.

Have you noticed any yellowing leaf drop on your schefflera? Or any pest damage at all?
