Growing citrus in New England and other places that get real winters is indeed possible! I’ve been growing citrus for years in Connecticut zone 6, and here are my best tips.

  1. Thank you Heather! I really needed this info on citrus, I purchased a Meyer lemon improved last spring and am not sure what to do this winter. I brought it inside last week when our night time temps, here in Oregon, started dipping into the high 40's, so I just put it back outside for a while longer and am relieved to have the 37 degree temp as guide. It currently has 6 lemons of varying size and is looking promising, not turning yellow yet. 🤞 I do have an unheated room to keep it in over the winter. Thanks again, the orange you are showing is quite impressive!
