  1. I just purchased a new clicker too 🎉🎉🎉 I am a PE teacher and use slides to let the students know when we have transitioned to a new activity. I used to have to walk all the way from one side of the gym to the other to change the slide (great exercise by the way 😂). It uses batteries but has an on/off switch that hopefully will save battery life in the long run. Been using it for a week now and I love love love it ❤

  2. You are so amazing! I watch and think, “ Do you ever get any sleep?” When do you get this all done? I am so thankful and appreciative of your videos. Your thinking and planning process really helps me become more organized with my lessons! Would love to see your scope and sequence planning process.

  3. You inspire me to celebrate the small wins! Thank you for taking us on your teaching journey. It's wonderful to know that we experience the same challenges globally and that teachers can support each other! I watch every single one of your videos. You are a QUEEN when it comes to planning and organization – wow! Greetings from South Africa ❤

  4. First, this is not at all boring. I appreciate seeing the “behind-the-scenes” work that contributes to daily classroom operations. Second, I TAed in a district that had district-wide slides that everyone used for every lesson to ensure continuity across the district’s multiple classrooms and buildings. I understand the reasoning for it, but I don’t like not being in charge of my own slides. It’s great that the work is kind of already done, but it’s taking away from my creativity, my students’ pace in the lesson, and a connection between myself and the students and the slides. Do you have any recommendations?

  5. Thanks Michelle. Great strategic planning. Do you video record yourself of how to do a certain activity so students can reflect on it if they forget how and link into the actual activity or would you add a link to a Google classroom folder? I'm trying to find a sufficient way of doing this as I always tend to miss recording myself doing these. I just wondered if you do that and how you'd do that. This would require extra planning I'd assume. And yes please, could you do a video on Google calendar. I am a secondary teacher in NZ.

  6. Really wish that we had specialist teachers in all schools in Ontario. I am responsible for teaching language, math, science, history, geography, health, phys. Ed., visual arts and dance. There are only three subjects that I don’t teach. I’d love to organize like this but it would be exhausting. Oh and I can’t remember the last time I taught a straight grade so I’m teaching all of these subjects for 2 grades.

  7. Sounds like a great way to effectively communicate! I just joined a school with four out of five rookies so we’re working hard to align coverage. I like your framework!

  8. Maybe I am just old (I am 32) but this seems like A LOT of work for one person. And where are the books? And paper and pencil? These kids are going to have carpal tunnel and eye problems by the time they hit high school.

  9. Love your videos. Looking forward to the scope and sequence. Question would you put the template for your math Eureka lessons through TPT? I use the ones from Great Minds but yours look so organized.

  10. Thank you for the reminder of the math notes in your TPT store I need to purchase. I was wondering if you, or someone here in the community, had a recommendation for the same idea with reference to the grade 7 & 8 math curriculum?

I’m returning to the classroom after being a specialist teacher and don’t feel confident in my level of tech expertise yet.

  11. Hi! I am interested in viewing a tutorial/ how-to video of " Organizing a Scope and sequence in Google Calendar". Thank you

  12. yes to that video about scope and sequence. I don't live in the States, so I don't use scope and sequence, but as you said, "it is about taking bits and pieces to keep us organized". I'm trying your method of slides to see if it helps me. I do have to slow down your videos since you go so fast, but still grateful for the wonderful ideas.

  13. You are a master teacher. In the long run, all the hours that you are putting in, will pay off, especially if you remain in your current district. Your skill with technology and all the things, makes it look effortless, but we know it isn't without a lot of effort. Way to go! Lucky district to have picked you up! Have a great weekend!
