  1. Great idea Jenny to flank each end with a Roman Candle, can't wait to see what you do with the Cottage Garden with all the divisions and reworking. Have a blessed day Creekside gang.

  2. My daughter lives in Virginia, she also has red clay soil but to add to that they have rock lots and lots of rocks so it’s hard planting anything there. But this determined momma tries to plant things when I go for a visit. 🤗🌺💚🙃

  3. Oh Jenny I understand the weather prayers . Here in Northern California we have still been in the HIGH 90s to 103 . But today (happy dance) our high is 88 ! Praying for all in Miltons path

  4. What do you think about limbing up the loropetalum? They have a beautiful multi trunk structure like crepe myrtles. We have one in our neighborhood that is limbed up and 30' tall. Show stopping blooms twice a year.

  5. That lovely planter provides a preview of how stunning that raised garden bed is going to look when planted. If you make sure that end of the bed has some things trailing a bit, I think you’ll like it from the house.

  6. It was great to see the transformation of the "patio garden".
Happy b🎉rthday to Megan. 😊 Blessing to her.
Hope you guys are safe from Hurricane Hilton.
(South African here, not so sure of where you destined are. I worry about you guys and pray for everyone that is in the path. 🙏 )

  7. Zone 10B gardener here in SoCal, I also deal with Bermuda, and I truly feel like it's a losing battle. It will never go away. 😢

  8. PRAYERS 🙏🙏 for central Florida. It's going to be a ruff night here with hurricane Milton bearing down on us.

  9. That’s so funny to watch Brynna take the empty pots! My shepherd does the same exact thing!!

  10. That is such a sweet location for the planter!! I planted ornamental kale last year (Roanoke, VA area) and it went through numerous hard frosts with my violas, I hope yours does well.

  11. That looks great Jenny. The other Roman candle from where you said you would finish the wall in the camera it doesn't look like there is room. But you can see how much room you have. I was looking to see if you were going to put smaller rock step up to the chicken coop through that side of the terrace garden.

  12. Miss Jenny I have a question please. I recently had a surprise plant buy of a wish list plant. We were in our local Lowe’s and as any good Gardner I went through the garden center and came upon 4 Little Henry’s. On the clearance rack because they buy plants to kill them by not watering them! It was like Christmas! I thought duh! These are PWs! With outstanding genetics! ; and their perennials! They’re 3 gallon pots and a good 2 ft tall. Yes the leaves were dry and some fell off but they were good. I bought them all with a couple bottles of water. Put them in the back of the truck watered them good for the next few weeks and like I said their Proven Winners baby! lol. Now the get to the question. Do you know if they bloom on old wood and should I prune them? Since they had early leaf drop and dried out bad at the store. I feel awkward asking because I didn’t buy them from y’all . But I learn so much from y’all and I know you’ll know the answer. Thank you so much for all y’all do! And love love the 2 new gardens! Thank you again Betty Jo

  13. I just love the Roman candle. I’m going to try two in very large containers on each corner of my full sun patio to add some evergreen structure to my yard.

  14. Beautiful container! I’m always a little perplexed with the ornamental cabbages when I see them at nurseries, not sure how to place them. But this looks beautiful!

  15. Jerry, Jenny and family I just received my first order from you. The Welcome letter and transaction was perfect. Even though you were going through horrible weather. I was going to text you and tell you don't worry about my order take your time. I am so thankful you are alright. What an amazing team, thank you

  16. Continued prayers to the SE and certainly keeping Florida in my prayers. We are no stranger to hurricanes in Houston and the thought of what they are going through makes me sick to my stomach.

  17. Loving Roman candle 💚. I believe you can never get rid of Bermuda grass ,,YOU JUST DIE AND LEAVE IT ,I hate it Fall container is Gorgeous ,can’t wait till the peppers change color 🍁🍂. Thanks

  18. That container looks perfect in the terrace garden! Bless you with your heat, we’re going down to -3 Celsius in early morning of October 14 ( Thanksgiving Monday for us) 🥶. Ah well, zone 3 Manitoba 🇨🇦👏🍁

  19. Jenny, I live in the DFW area in Texas and we are forecast to be 100 degrees on Sunday and in the 90s all week. Ugh! We’ve also had only about 3 inches of rain in the last 3-4 months.

  20. Waiting for fall here in northern Illinois too. I have projects I've been waiting for cooler weather to do. I just keep asking, "where is fall?"

  21. Love the plants & planter where you put it ! Now, just add a few pumpkins around the bottom & on the steps….easy-peay fall – Thanksgiving decorations! 🙏‘S for all 🙏

  22. Zone 8a Milton Florida, my daffodils are pushing up through the soil. Good/Bad thing? Also are you still planning on renovations for the pond? ❤
