In this video, you’ll learn how to crossbreed peppers and create a brand new pepper variety! This process takes a long time (like, years), but it may be worth it if you want to take your gardening to another level. I’ll show you the whole process of crossbreeding peppers from start to finish, and how to make your own pepper.

  1. I have time alright… But not much space to select specimens in later generations.
Still, I'm trying to breed a small-fruited super hot for quite a few years now!
    It's fun…

  2. I always save my seeds and this my Cherokee tomatoes were blush pink, i guess last year pollen from a brandy wine must of mixed and made these lol nature

  3. I suspected this of happening naturally in our garden because as the season goes on certain pepper varieties take on traits of their neighbors. Some of my sweet peppers would look the same, but would be a bit spicy. How fun.

  4. My cherry tomatoes hybridized naturally with my heirlooms last year, and now i have golf ball sized tomatoes with the best flavor.

  5. That’s year I have tried to cross my aji lemon drop with my scorpion. I have had one fruit set so hopefully I will be able to get some seeds.

  6. Dude! Great video!! Do more like this/on this! I would watch a weekly series for updates/tips/progress.

Also wouldn’t mind seeing how you two cook with specific varieties!
