I find one of the easiest way to cut through the root ball of many perennials is with using a Hori Hori. Check out the Vego Garden Hori Hori I just received in this video. So many cool features on this garden multi use tool. Hey! I'm in zone 6 NW Ohio. I love your channel and you have great ideas I have utilized in my garden!
I love getting free plants from my own garden!
Love this video!
Great video! I love dividing plants, especially ground covers. Always nice to pass some along to friends and family to help them fill their garden. 💚
Great video! Thanks so much!!!
Hi Steph. Thank you for the info about dividing plants. Love the idea of dividing right out of the nursery container. The Hori Hori looks like a great garden tool! I always appreciate your thoughtful insights. 💕🌱
Yes, please <3
Love watching your videos. I love doing all the garden chores in my own garden just like you do😊
You have a great way of explaining and illustrating how to, whatever the topic. Thanks for the division lesson Steph!
Hi Steph, I have been looking for a low growing blue spruce but haven't been able to find anything less than 15" x 10" (at. 10 years). How big does that cultivar get? Wouldn't a blue star juniper or Picea pungens 'Glauca Globosa' Blue Globe Colorado Spruce be more appropriate? I am not being critical, but if your specimen stays dwarf, I am very interested. Thank you for all your great content.
Nice job! Economical.
Great tips
That looks like a great tool! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for showing dividing perennials. I have a white Veronica that needs to be devided badly.
I need to divide a lot of lambs-ear too. I love it, but it’s quite aggressive in my garden. This hori-hori looks like it would do a great job!
Hi Steph! Thanks for sharing all your gardening tips, I love watching your videos! Keep up the great work! 🤞🏽 for the hori hori knife 😊
Great video. This is a great time to divide perennials to create new gardens, extend the garden or to share with friends! I appreciate the video.
Love the idea to split I’m always too nervous to do it!
It’s surprising how many garden channels I’ve watched and you were the first one to talk about diving plants right from the nursery. I want to give a big thank you from all the gardeners out there who fall in love with a plant and didn’t know its potential to create more to fill a garden.
Thank you for some great tips. I'm going to try dividing some hostas that just didn't look as lush this season as they usually do. Hopefully that will revive them! I love the idea of dividing nursery purchases. Such a cost savings!
Such a beautiful garden!
I would absolutely love the Vego Garden Hori Hori ! I have many perennials I need to divide. I love that it has the hexagon cutouts for nuts and bolts. How clever! Thank you for the information and the offer!
So informative!
I use a knife that was my mom’s
My husband lost my horihori somewhere in the garden this summer. Would love to try the Vego one!😊
Looks great!
This video is just want I wanted to see as I wasn’t sure what to do with my lambs ear. Thank you so much. 🤗
Love your Tips. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, I'm also in MA. I'm looking for some conifers for the yard & may check out Tolland Garden this weekend. Ty!
