Back in June after a failed attempt to grow Red Norland potatoes, I tried again with a new growing method. I learned about the Ruth Stout method of growing potatoes from @BBettaGarden on YouTube. I cut up my last Red Norland seed potato, let the sections callous over then placed them on top of the soil in a grow bag. As the foliage grew, I added shredded cedar mulch until it reached the top of the grow bag. Four months later after the foliaged died back, we removed the mulch to find some gorgeous potatoes. The method worked!
