  1. That looks amazing what I'm doing as well is making a mixed green strip that is all edible and medicinal plants that looks like a mess of weeds that you wouldn't think is edible unless you know what your looking at as back up.

  2. When I was young my parents bought a property and we tried growing stuff. And I quickly found out that this is knowledge that is handed down from Generations. It took this lady many years to acquire this knowledge. Just becoming an expert in one single crop is hard enough let alone multiple crops

  3. Great video, however, when the city folks show up, you will get cleaned out…..but, at least you tried….

  4. I subscribe to gardeningincanada — excellent content.
Thank you for the awesome video!!!
I've been learning so much about gardening in the past 5 years since buying this property … what I can grow here that I'll eat => Eat what you grow and Grow what you eat! I'm on the west side of the Rockies where we grow rocks so tilling is near impossible since you end up with half the soil after extracting the rocks and then what to do with the rocks. I've been inventive like caged rock fence posts and Gabrion heat sinks.
First I did Hugelkulture beds then tilling and removing rocks but now (this year) I'm doing no-dig beds using cardboard and coffee bags, after removing any surface rocks, piled with 'tons' of organic material with compost on top. I figure it's the fastest way to get food growing … just don't know what's to happen except that everybody has to eat.
This year with the abnormal weather I've been given the opportunity to save a lot of seeds since so much bolted … that's another learning curve.
I like Nate's cannabis plants … mine were awesome last year not so great this season. I got the seeds from relatives who are in the business — traded my trimming labor for them which was an awesome experience on it's own.

  5. I use the STUN method for growing things. Sheer>Total>Utter>Neglect. Its an actual thing. The concept is to basically seed bomb your property, let things grow naturally, let them go to seed. Let nature begin to naturally select/breed the plants to become more resilient. I've got an orchard, and I do prune the trees to help shape them, but I seed bomb below there to let whaterver wants to grow, just have at it. Im not trying to eat these plants. I am trying to support and attract wildlife, so I can eat them.

  6. This is why Prepper is a stand up guy. He shows us his imperfections in his orchard instead of a beautiful perfect one. I learned from the answers this young lady.
    ❤❤❤❤❤❤

  7. Looking good Nate! So much goes into growing our own food. Years and years of learning and failing, and the more I know, the more I know I don’t know.

  8. HEY NATE, THIS IS WHAT BEN REPLIED TO ME. A CONTACT FOR YOU…Fulford Benjamin

    You
My advice is to contact the Bloc Quebecois because they are the strongest political force in Canada that is not controlled by the freemasons.

  9. how ya gona get to that food forest when there a nuclear fallout lmfao..guess you didnt think that 1 threw that far lmfao 🤣🤣😂🤣😅😆🤣😂😂🤣😅🤣😂

  10. That was the first food harvesting video I’ve ever watched and thought was actually pretty good. Nice work you too.

  11. Those pot plants would make good barter. You ever think of planting some bamboo ? Always handy to have some around.

  12. CP is hilarious around plants , I wonder how my grandma actually had this crazy flourishing garden in the middle of Siberia , this girl in the video seems omniscient in all things plant .

  13. People don’t understand how vital this information is well they don’t even think about it in the first place but that’s another story altogether

  14. 🤔🤔🤔 It would be better if you grow the hops on a fence or wire like grapes 🍇 you won’t have to pull it off your tree nor will it choke out the tree.
Good fortune on your homestead and your YouTube channel 👍🏽
