  1. American mom here: my kids were watching Bluey and I was walking by during a scene where Muffin's mom told her to show Aunt Chili her thongs. My head popped back in so quick 😂 I know other countries have different words for different things. I just didn't know the thing/flip flop thing lol

  2. I’m Australian and I am from Brisbane and guess what I’ve never saw of Bluey I heard about it, but never saw it 😅

  3. My usa friends LOVE bluey. And have admitted to flexing they have an Aussie friend that they’ve hung out with and understand so much of the show then explain a lot of the situations (like magpies) and the language. They also give me a hard time with the vernaculars because they know I find it cringe 😂😂😂

  4. I am in my 40’s and have no kids of my own, I work in the education system. A friend of mine suggested I watch Bluey with my baby niece, I screened it to make sure it was safe for her and fell in love with it. Bluey is now part of my family, but the biggest take away is that Bluey has brought a lot of healing and understanding to our family because of the values that Bluey promotes in its show. I also feel like a more effective educator because of Bluey. Nice work Bluey, and to those who spread Bluey’s message, we are all better because of you.

  5. I'm in my 40s and absolutely love Bluey. In America and Canada there's really no shows that show a good family like this with a fun mom and dad, most are about dad's that have drinking problems or aren't present at all, they are the butt of most of the jokes. Bluey is so refreshing and fun. The one where Bingo dreams about her mom being a big sun made me ugly cry 😂

  6. 7:39 its Disneys fault! They hate “disgusting” things! The bluey episode “smoochey kiss” May have made fun of this, and stopped the censors! Or maybe not!

  7. When you realise how many new words you learn are the common names of things common in Australia. I have immediately forgotten the common name of the Bin Chicken.

  8. 4:42 I actually do use some of the slang that I hear in the show (and constantly quote/reference it) and every time I do, I gain a little accent as I say it. Afterwards, it goes away but the switch from normal to Australian accent in a “regular” sentence makes it sound so weird 😅

  9. @JellyJessYT Something I love about Australia as an American is Kylie Minogue! I love all of her music, although no one in the US knows about Kylie!

  10. Interesting fact, this show, also same name in police drama television series (That was 1976). This video about 2018 series.

  11. The only, ONLY problem I have with Bluey is how they didn't give the Magpie a proper warble or swoop cry. They made it sound like a crow or something. Adore the show, though.

  12. As a kiwi a lot of the lifestyle, outdoor games and slang in Bluey is also quite relatable 🥰
