  1. Thank you both for such good and timely information. Cool flowers is just such a great concept but there are some 'tips and tricks' that can be used to make it more successful and your advice is very much appreciated. I do have a question that I think you covered but want to be sure. I have some chantilly snaps up and about 4" tall, I plan to plant them out soon. Should I pinch them now? They look very healthy which is good, and should I wait until it gets much cooler to set them out, we're still getting warm weather.

  2. This video has revealed what my real problem has been with snaps. Overwatering. I am a home gardener so won't be doing plug trays as I have my regular seed trays–for now. I will watch closely for signs they are drying out well enough to water. Its HARD–you think they will die! On that note for a cell tray what kind of soil would you recommend for starting seeds? Are there some that will not "hold on to water" as much as others? I am using a seed starting mix.
