I think I would leave it, you probably are the only one who notices. I understand the symmetry though I'm the same way lol 😆 I did a lot by seed this year too and the winter sowing method and I they have done way better than anything I started indoors. So, I will only be doing that in the future and maybe one tray inside.
Kim, that bug looks like an adult Oleander or Milkweed aphid check out the University of Florida plant extension for pictures.
Are you pulling stuff out in that side? The Japanese maple will look pretty there
Are those a stink bug? Cause the larger darker ones look like them … Yuck-o check out the boxelder bugs on Google.
Kim ,you will make the statement “ Next year I am not….” I have said that for 40 years. 🤦🏻♀️. I am not a fan of,but so many people love hibiscus, but I am a marigold lovers especially in the fall .,so you can’t go by what I say 😂 I only have so much space which is too much but I am picky about what I plant .. You can trim that sweet potato vive ,I have chopped on mine many times..Your Dahlia blooms are gorgeous. I am a big big fan of Japanese Maples. ♥️. I have no problem getting rid of a plant if it doesn’t make me happy. I used to have a rose garden ,I truly worked in it everyday……I can’t stand black spot ,so a few years ago ,I took them out . I have been tempted but ,I said never again, and I think I mean it 😂West Jefferson is GORGEOUS,I hope you have been on the Church tour there to see the Frescoes ,they are breathtaking,we go at least once a year for the last 30 years,I missed last year. But hope to go soon. Blowing Rock is my true love , so many great places to play golf ,eat, shop and find peace in the mountains 🍃🌿
Where do you Garden? Zone?
Kim, your yard is beautiful! I love the mass of Celosia! Feverfew probably needs more sun…just move it! My highest garden flop…grow bags for veggies. First year they did great…green beans, kale, sugar snaps, butternut and zucchini, tomatoes, spinach and lettuce…then the animals found my little garden. This year, third season, I think I got a bag of soil with a fungus, so more fails, including seed grown geraniums …..ggrrr! (The deer ate my roses too😢)
What hibiscus did you plant? Try the summerific hibiscus series evening rose, berry awesome edge of night or Watermelon Ruffles the colour would look great against the house
BUG: leaf footed bug nymph. beautiful garden! your intro cracks me up everytime!
Maybe put the Celosia roots in a pot 🤷🏼♀️
My garden good thing this year has been putting the Berry Awesome hibiscus in the ground (moved from large pots on the patio). My garden flop this year has been the gomphrena with the vinca in my front yard annual flower beds. Next year, we will just put a variety of vinca plants. I already have a plan of what colors I want!! ❤
Hi Kim. Thanks for showing us your beautiful gardens. I am sorry for the loss of your Yoshio Cherry Tree. I have a question. What do you use for mosquito repellent? You have to have them! We didn’t have them all summer until the bit of rain we had a couple of weeks ago. Now those blood suckers are all over me. BTW, I lost my Boscobel roses I planted in the spring. They never took off for me and I don’t understand why not. I used your and Jenny’s method of planting. I do have clay soil and then we did have quite a bit of rain here in New Braunfels. Thanks for uploading a new video for us.😊
I noticed the edging that you were pulling up at the end of your back yard. It looks like the molded plastic blocks. Do you like it? I have been thinking of using it in my yard. I have quite a long flower bed to edge and the expense is holding my back. Would you recommend it or not? By the way I am in Rock Hill SC just south of you. I like watching you because what you experience applies to me also.
I always thought it was Pugster butterfly bush but you always say Pungster. I never knew!
Kim what is the border that you have around your trees and garden beds? I love to use it in my garden.
Beautiful
I’m praying over my emerald green arborvitae’s as well!!!! Just planted them this year! Yours look great!
Are you sure you don’t have army worms like jenny
