    I've been visiting Japan every year with someone and I've visited one of the cafes in your videos (the one in Shibuya). Really like watching your videos but this one in particular made me really want to try solo travelling. I think I'll do that in my Japan trip next year! Thanks!

    Hey Sol! I've recently gone to Japan and I have been hooked with the idea ever since, so I watch your videos almost religously at this point because of how good they are at representing Japan! Howver, I wish yoh didn't put these HUGE subtitles in your video editing. You already have the captions built in with YouTube, I hope you do consider removing them or at least changing how they look.     13:50 Oh, how cute! I didn't know they had barn swallows in Japan! They make their nests out of mud and straw, and build them under the eaves of buildings to give them protection from owls. We always end up with a new pair of them in the summer every year, and settle down over our front porch here in Georgia (USA). They make the cutest chattering sounds, and I've often found myself wondering if they're just having full blown conversations with it, it's really fascinating and soothing to listening to them. 🙂

    What I keep telling my wife Japan is not just Tokyo, I keep seeing so much beauty and interesting architecture, parks, landscape elsewhere. Feels like 2 weeks just gives a small glimpse of life outside the concrete cities. Thanks for brings this to us.

    BTW, getting out early means you can see so much more, without the crowds. A few months ago we were in Prague, got out around 8 am, found a store, who had a small cafe for breakfast. Around 10 am,it was like someone turned on the open sign and everywhere was full of tourists.

    日本人も知らない人多いんだけど、「小京都」って全国京都会議に加盟した自治体で、金沢は何年か前に抜けてるから、既に「小京都」ではないんよな。
