This is Japan’s most unusual market, where many customers stand
around without buying anything, seemingly waiting for someone. In
Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, they eagerly await Mr. Matsuzawa’s
vegetables. At 76, Matsuzawa grows his produce using unique methods:
he plants seeds directly on wild grass, uses the grass as natural fertilizer,
and avoids pesticides, letting natural predators handle pests. His
produce is renowned for being large and sweet. Would you prefer this
farming approach?

I need to learn more
it's called smart and sustainable farming…not lazy
That is how you do agriculture since the beginning of humanity. No processed chemical that harm nature
Nothing "lazy" about this. He's smart and I i hope he inspires more farmers to adopt his methods. 💖
Perfect, thats how its supposed to be done, no till and regenerative agriculture, no need for chemicals which just further destroys soul ecology and biology as well as your wallet
Capitalism is the devil
No wonder why vegetables are so expensive in Japan.
Matsuzoa
Matsuzawa
Matzizoa
So which one!?😂
He just apply fukouka's technique of farming..
Interesting
Now i want to know, why not many known farmers do the same?
The disrespect even using the word lazy. Smh these bait.
Its considered no till. With cover crops.
Honoured to learn of this legendary farmer
So awesome… I know that radish was crispy lol
Reminds me of the farmer in Arjuna 🥰
No-till represent!
Real organic stuff
My family bought a collective farm in india that followed this method, inspired by a Japanese agrarian. No fertiliser besides cow dung, no tilling the land, no irrigation. It has been wildly successful
Less is more.
Wow
Smart
Im guessing this is great for small gardens, probably not going to produce a large amount of produce.
Damn his body is in horrible shape for 76
incredible, your wisdom is great, and we are grateful.
No til gardening is great. Love that he’s incorporating the mulch right at the start… not lazy but very smart
Omg i ro no dig so this would be perfect idea for me to do!!
if you work with nature, nature will help you rich
Oh wow😮 many thanks for the tips, tq so much Grandpa 🙏
Yay!!! Even my pot plants have earthworms – means I am doing something right!
That's not grass. Those are ferns
The overgrowth looks like Boston ferns!!! They are so beautiful!
This time-wasting farming method is only feasible in some areas. Most crops are easily rotted or damaged by pests, making them difficult to sell.
It's a type of Perma gardening. It's the smart way to grow food.
