We found a wild herb in our yard! Unfortunately, not only is it not so tasty by itself, but it is also invasive and potentially harmful to cattle and humans of eaten in large quantities.
On the bright side, it is used in Asian dishes and Sushi. It is called Perilla frutescens, also known as wild Basil, and the Beefsteak plant.

That looks like Parrilla mint. It is deadly for livestock. It closes up the respiratory system. Do not eat it!
