  1. My lantana is orange and yellow. In north Florida, it absolutely does not bloom, 365 days a year, and it dies back every winter

  2. That looks like an incredible plant to grow. Such a vibrant colour. Thanks for telling us about it.

  3. He thinks we’ve all got the same soil, climate and daylight hours. He sounds like he’s in Australia or New Zealand. There’s a big difference between where his house is, and a place like wet sandy Florida, cold rainy Oregon, the frozen Rockies or Alaska in wintertime, or the broiling arid desert southwest. I doubt it will bloom all year in many places in the U.S., and I wonder if it is actually invasive in some regions. “If it sounds too too to be true, it probably is.” It’s very pretty, though. But I live in an area where soil is so poor it needs constant amendment and you have to sprinkle your plants with holy water to make them grow! Only local native plants do well, so that’s what I plant, or allow to blow in and plant themselves. The most successful ones are ones I dig up from the sides of roads and interstate highways, or their seeds I harvest.
