  1. I received your chicken mug!!! I am in love and now slow down to have a cup of coffee in the morning. You’re an inspiration and your ADHD conversation with us was such an eye opener. So thankful for you and your beautiful spirit.

  2. I’ll be planting Dino kale for the first time this year! I’m excited about it! I am also growing bush beans right now, I’ll have cilantro for winter salad, greens for winter, kale, cabbage, and broccoli rabe.
It is nice not to have to spend money at the grocery store on produce that is subpar
    Have a great week❤🤟

  3. I adore this! I am still getting a lot of tomatoes from the garden and feeling anxious to get some more summer in before fall
I relate to how you talk through all these things and love the self acceptance

  4. Hey, after you visit Homesteaders of New England, I hope you will share your reaction (diplomatically). I know that Morgan has found them to be too reactionary.
I'd like to hear about your experience.

  5. I'm so glad you said that it's okay to quit the garden from time to time. My garden was a disaster this summer and I'm over it…for now.

  6. This video made me wish I had done better with my fall seedlings. They were an improvement from past attempts. But I don’t have the time and energy right now with being pregnant with my eighth child and dealing with health issues from it. I hope in the future I figure out how to start my own seedlings it is so much better than having to buy starts. Especially since I can’t find any for a fall garden. But that’s ok I’ve got a ton of craft projects I want to get done before the baby comes and it’s not gonna be long before she’s here.

  7. I love the name of your brown paint! I work on a psych unit and was talking about colors and how our emotions connect to them with our patients. With brown everyone was saying that brown makes them feel disgust, dirty, etc and they looked at me like I lost my mind when I said calm and happy. They asked why and I responded, "it's the color of dirt and I'm a gardener." They still look bewildered but accepted that answer. 😂

  8. You probably will plant Brussel's Sprouts of course and maybe Rutabegas and more Broccoli of different kinds. I have my fall garden in and some peas, zucchini, bush and pole beans, a couple of existing determinate tomatoes alive and blooming, Swiss chard, and loads of carrots of 6 different kinds. All in raised beds and pots in Zone 8B Mojave Desert in NW Arizona at 3,000+' elevation. Short seasons between hot and slightly cold. Snow 1-4 days annually here in spurts in winter. Blazing hot summer.

  9. AL and GINA LUMNAH WILL BE AT THE NEW ENGLAND
HOMESTEADERS . HIS TOPIC IS, STARTING A HOMESTEAD ON RAW LAND.
They are a great couple who love the LORD, I pray for traveling mercies and hope you'll meet. He does a weekly podcast with Ben (no Meg)
    and Jason ( no
    Lorraine) just the guys.
    Thank you. Great seeds
Love, 🙏 pray 🙏 for you and your family.
    GLORY BE TO GOD HALLELUJAH
    SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
    NICE LITTLES
    COLLECTION.
    YOU AND DAD.

  10. I soooo get the point of feeling like I don’t want to work in the garden. But it does draw you in when you get started doing something in it😉💚

  11. Maybe you should consider putting a cold room in your workshop instead of doing a root cellar, we have both I think the cold room is better

  12. I've been gardening, micro homesteading actually, since I was in my early 20's – I'm 61 now – and I swear I learn something new from you with every video you post. I learn and relearn, about positivity as a guidepost, about recognizing the divine in tiny flowers, about celebrating abundance, and accepting gracefully that abundance can overwhelming, about the healing exercise that laughing at one's self can provide. Thank you for sharing your life, family, and farm with all of us. It's both appreciated and inspirational.

  13. This summer was my burnout year. I wasn't in the garden half as much as usual. It'll get closed down for the year this week, and that's OK.

  14. I love tiny things. Some of my favorites are a tiny mcIlleneys hot sauce bottle the would hold about 1 drop of hot sauce, a pair of blue/white ceramic "Dutch" shoes and a tiny glass ladybug about 1/2 the size of my littlest fingernail. Thank you for sharing yours 🐞

  15. Radishes always remind me of my Grandma. She grew them in her garden and I only ever ate them at her house! Recently I learned of the french "radish au buerre" aka radishes with butter. When my partner saw me eating radish slices topped with butter pats he sure was confused! But gosh is it yummy. Spicy, crunchy, and creamy!

  16. I have been doing this all Summer because it’s been too hot for the garden and it hasn’t rained since May! Slowly painting and purging and redecorating each room trying to declutter my home to make each space functional.

  17. I made your pickled beets and we absolutely love them! I was never a fan of beets, but wow – that’s changed! Thanks so much for that recipe – top notch.

  18. Im 38 weeks pregnant and im at the stage where i cant think of the fall garden right now😢,guess ill be taking a break this fall/winter

  19. Hey, my wife wants that large chicken painting in the background on your wall in the beginning of the video! Where did you get that? Thanks if you answer!

  20. I was this way last year. I took the fall & winter off of planting a fall garden bc I had grown so much in the summertime & canned it all up. Once I got through all that I needed to get my house in order. So I planted nothing. This year I took a more balanced approach and paced myself this summer so I could enjoy a fall garden.

  22. I have some tiny things that I have had for years, but I haven't had anything to display them for years. I couldn't ever get rid of them bc they have memories. You've inspired me to hunt for something to put them in again.
